A year of stillness

I am not gonna be making excuses . Yeah - I have not blogged for almost a year

I am sure people have been made to feel rather sulky to the fact that the much hyped upon blog was actually made idle over a long period of time . I got nothing much to say but to apologise to all those who actually supported and came along with me throughout this wonderful journey

I have been one lazy – leave it for tomorrow – pathetic moron

Lots have happened in the course of the last year . It was rather stirring for me to read my last post in which was written merely 6 hours before I left on my 7 Nation Bike Ride . Well , I guess I am right to say that I am back to serve you with more of my shit regardless whether you like it and promise to try and be more civilised with my routines

My sincere apologies go to all the wonderful people I met during my Bike Ride as I know the most of you would have actually logged on here to check on me progress . Well , to cut the story short .. I made it . I cycled from London to Sweden , a journey that changed my life for sure 

Give me a moment and I will enlighten you with some great stories and some really fucked up ones on what I have been up to the last year . Not like it’s gonna be anything special . I just USE you people to make myself feel like I have done something prolific :)

Welcome back to Trippy and Twisted people ..

6 hour countdown

Today has been a hectic day .. there was lotsa running around to be done and I must admit , I feel rather concluded and contented with my achievements today . I am now sitting down in front of the laptop with a million things running through my head . Alot of should have's as well as shouldn't have's .. some awesome moments and some quite heart rending moments . But I am trying to put away all my thoughts and focus on one thing at a time .. As for now , I need to get on my bike - with all my fuckin' stuff and make my way to transit point number 1 - Folkestone . Cycling was one thing but cycling with panniers loaded with almost 19 kg's of camping equipment etc is definitely another league ...

This is how my sister's place looked as I invaded her lounge with my self sustainable belongings .. As much as I love travelling - this time I had to spellbind myself to ensure I am not stuck in some forest in Germany just to take in that I had forgotten some essentials . I really had to put my mind and soul into this checklist and I must say - I am still not 100 % but came up with a new dogma - Come what may , can't give a fuck no more :)

Went over to Stef's at around 10 pm just to make sure he has got everything in place and yeah , we both looked at each other looking a bit nervous thinking to ourselves , this sounds all fuckin' awesome :)

I must say that travelling with Stef is gonna be enjoyable and special in everyway ..

Anyway , I am going to try and update this blog with some daily journals if permitted . Promise to put up some nice pictures and videos of us doing what we do best . To all the people in London who have made my stay here a grand one - thank you . To those who contributed to distressing moments , thanks for making me stronger . Now you know , when I leave this place .. the next time you hear me sing Home by Michael Buble , I sure am talking about London and about all the great people here . Love and respect .. Pavin xx

My 7 nation run on the bicycle

Well , here are some of the finalised details concerning my bike ride ..

A very good friend of mine has shown interest in wanting to join me on this ride ..

This person is no other than Stefano .. a famous figure in Enfield :)

An awesome tennis player , a good drinker , a good spontaneous brother with a strong personality and a good reputation to be able to do things that many may find fuckin' crazy or simply revolting :) I must admit that doing this trip with Stefano would be really awesome as we are pretty much very good friends , the same people in many ways and pretty much used to sleeping rough therefore sharing a tent in someones farm woudn't be that hard but mind you , I am not very certain of his sexuality :) Haha ..

Departing from the Ridgeway Tavern car park in Enfield . Anyone who is really up for giving us a good kick start.. feel free to ditch the duvet in the wee hours and waking up to the miserably cold weather at 5:45 AM and getting up there for a farewell hug :)

 
Well , it would be nice to see you people there but would understand if you are not present .. :)

As mentioned previously .. this bike ride is done for the purpose of self enhancement as well as raising money for a charity fund .. The next post will consist of information regarding this orphanage . The next post will also comprise of our lookout for sponsors for some of the equipment necessary for this journey ..

Me in love with Enfield

Despite the numerous places I have travelled along the years .. for many reasons , I begun to grasp the fact that I am essentially in love with Enfield .. yeah , London !

We complain about the shitty weather ..

Yet we put on thick coats and have an ice cream with a different setting in mind..

Yes , we complain about the prices of many things eg. petrol and high taxes ..

Yet we compensate by drowning our sorrows at the local pubs ..

After a hard day at work .. there's nothing better than to go down your local and quench your thirst with preferebly a pint of lager :) Or Guinness in my case ..

We pay a high price to live in this city although the same money we spend in a day in living costs would pay for an awesome villa in Asia for a week :)

Yet there is something magical about this place ..

The place where we always start off by speaking about the weather just to strike a conversation ..

'The weather is shit innit' ? Yes , I know it is shit but we really don't need to remind each other :)

In the last year .. 

For 6 months I woke up to this .. 10 minutes from my home !

My 4 month stay in Sweden .. This was the view from the room I was living in !

I know it is awesome ..

But at the same time , how did you feel when you watched this scene for the first time ?!

I am not trying to say that London is associated to this in anyway .. 

But there are some movies that portrayed England to be this sorta place ..

Grey .. dingy .. wet .. raining .. dark .. depressing .. on and on !

In reality ..

This is England ..

There is something we can all take from this post ..
It's the people that actually make a place ..
Regardless of all the shit the people are put through .. the people don't fail to smile :)

In London - I got wonderful friends ..

My parties are sick ..

 When we party .. we either get the pigs or the council but hey ..
We never gave a fuck ..

Unfortunately , they were all senior citizens - Still think they loved my rock and roll :)

We got awesome festivals ..

Amazing countryside retreats ..

Ermmm.. okay  beaches !

I don't really find the common tourist attraction eg. London eye / Big Ben , blah blah .. stimulating in anyway so if you are a fan ..you can count that in too but I am not gonna bother mentioning a place where people prefer to click their cameras then  to actually sit and feel the place

The day the drunks decided to cook

The sun was shining bright this morning , it almost felt like it was one of those summer days , you get excited for no reasons except for the fact that the sun is glazing like Kenny rogers glazed chicken wings ! Anyway , cutting the cock short , I popped down to Hoo Hing .. one of the only places to pick up oriental bits around Middlesex although I do not particularly like this shop too much .. Still think Wing Yip is the best shop to hit !

The girlies called up to say they were waiting downstairs therefore I put on my blue adidas jacket and jumped in the car since Kaitlin had just got her license ! Boy .. was it a fuckin' adventure :)

This was the first time I have ever gotten in the car with Kaitlin .. it's nice to be able to post up a sunny picture taken in London .. We drove down to Southgate to get some items !

Amy giving the evil eye .. I think we were excited about the cook out but at the same time having a ball watching Kaitlin pull stunts on the road .. 

Honk .. Honk .. Get off the road bitch !! :P

Kaitlin showing off her parking skills and finally decided to take up two spaces .. I mean when was the last time you had the balls to do that and walk away shopping .. Nice one Kaitlin :)

Amy started off the main dish .. Thai Green Curry with aubergines and chicken breasts 

( Yes , fuckin' chicken breasts )

While Kaitlin kick started the day with a bottle of San Miguel ..

The menu for today :

• Thai Green curry with chicken and aubergines
• Beef salad ( Original Thai style )
• Pork Belly roasted with our magical spices

Amy got her hands dirty and marinated the pork ..

Kaitlin put on her apron and danced around the kitchen for a little bit of entertainment :)

The beef then cut in thin strips and fried till all the sauces had simmered ..

I must say , I got a bit distracted whilst waiting for the food to be ready and found some interesting things to snap .. like these giant jugs for example :)

The beef salad that consists of fresh herbs and leaves and some kick ass fried beef .. The end result ?!

The pork that was fried and then shoved in the oven .. Chopped in small pieces

We then decided to go out for a smoke and do a bit of jumping ..

After about half a crate of beer .. teamwork , lotsa laughter and fun times .. The food was finally ready to be consumed .. Unfortunately , in the midst of all the excitement , we forgot to take the photo of the Thai Green Curry that turned out pretty sick .. :)

Sorry mum , I think we fucked up the kitchen and did leave it in a state !

Everyone dishing out .. didn't manage to get photos of the rest of the family but hope you guys enjoyed our creations for the day ..

An awesome Saturday night with good food , good drink and good company !
Cheers and hopefully we'll have the chance to revive this day !!
