Cigarettes and me

I just went out to have a cigarette . My mind often drifts away as I lit my fag amongst the strong wind using 2-3 match sticks at a time and puffing away overlooking the awesome river . All I hear is the rapids recently used for the national kayak competition in which Erik Rehn , my bro was the champion . It sounds so loud you begin to think how one can even kayak in them rapids let alone fuckin' surf and do tricks on the waves . I must big up to these guys :)

Anyways , back to my antics - smoking . I first begun smoking when I was like 19 . I had my first ever cigarette with my best friend back in 1996 . It was a Salem pack 6 , it happened right after my Bahasa Melayu PMR paper , right next to a mining pool with Jeevam , my partner in crime .

That's the culprit I am sitting on who gave me my first fag . The reason for me spending RM 10 everyday for 8 years of my life . Picture taken during our recent reunion in Ipoh when we decided to crash into the train for a snap ! Miss you machi :)

All I remember was the cigarette being so cool on the lips ( menthol ) , it felt strange but nothing special . I never smoked again as I was representing the national team in hockey and it was like a taboo to be a smoker , fuckin' uncool unlike now .. people often spark up just because it looks hip . Hip my fuckin' arse , if I could turn back time ..

Have had lotsa people tell me how bad smoking is and the rate I am going I'd probably kill myself before I even get to see 50 . It all started off with me , being the rock and roll kid smoking me Marlboro Reds soft pack . It all just felt so good , your best fuckin' friend , anytime , anywhere .
